Namaste dear friends,
Just one week left until we can start back practising yoga together again!
Just to clarify the rules that we need to adhere to when the classes start back. We will need to keep 2 meters apart, sanitise our hands and wear face masks until we are on our mats. Obviously if you have any Covid symptoms please stay at home. The government does not stipulate a maximum number for organised indoor activities other than the two meter rule. The Wells Town hall has still decided to cap the number to six students in Parkes room. The Elim Connect centre has said maximum 12 people. This means that I will only allow pre booked and pre paid people to come to the Wells Town hall classes but allow drop ins to the Elim Connect Centre on a first come first served basis and a payment of £8 (£7 if you pay for a block of six). If you miss a class I will try to fit you in another day the same week. The cost for a six week block will be £42.
As it gets warmer I will organise more yoga classes in the garden and also some evening classes 🙂 Please let me know if you want to be added to a garden yoga mailing list as I will sometimes organise classes at short notice if the weather looks good 🙂

Tuesday: 18:00 to 19:00 yoga (Google Meet) cancelled
Thursday: 17:30 to 18:30 yoga (Google Meet)

Please let me know what classes you are interested in.

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather and having time to meet up with friends and be out in nature.
There is no yoga next week, all classes will start back on the 2nd September and Helen Miklem has kindly agreed to continue teaching the Tuesday lunchtime classes.
It would be good to continue meeting up with whoever wants to join us for some social activities. I suggest that we meet up on Tuesday the 17th September at 14:10 at the Kitty Banks in the Market square. Let me know if you would like to meet up for a walk or maybe a garden visit as well!
I find it useful to start each day with good intentions so I find this affirmation helpful.
Just for today I will not worry
Just for today I will not anger
Just for today I will be grateful for everything I have
Just for today I will do my work honestly
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbour and all living things
Hope to see you all in September after I have come back from beautiful Findhorn in Scotland where I will be teaching a retreat next week.
Love and light,
Namaste all yoga friends,
This summer seems to have gone in a flash – I had a very relaxing time in Sweden and Finland spending time by the sea. Nature is by far the best healer and it teaches us to go beyond the ego and realise that we are inextricably connected to the universe.
I have now benefited from practising yoga for 30 years and and I have been teaching in Wells for the last five years. It’s my pleasure to see so many people benefiting in so many ways from their yoga practise.
I have reluctantly decided I need to increase the price for classes to £7. There has been no change for 5 years now but the costs have risen in that time. However, if you attend 2 classes in the same week, the price will remain at £10.
Hannah Cox and I are planning some yoga and meditation workshops on Saturdays in the autumn but more about this in the next newsletter.
Helen Micklem will continue to teach the Tuesday lunchtime classes, Jan Evans and Lisa Reakes will cover occasional classes which I’m very grateful for.
Kind wishes from Berit
